ON 12 JULY 2013, AT APPROXIMATELY 2030 LOCAL TIME A AERONCA 15AC, N1374H, LANDED AT THE TALKEETNA VILLAGE STRIP, IN TALKEETNA, AK, RAN OFF OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AT MID-FIELD INTO TREES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY TO THE LEADING EDGE OF THE RIGHT WING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC13LA065](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC13LA065), Jul 13, 2013: Aeronca 15AC (N1374H), Talkeetna, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s loss of airplane control during landing for reasons that could not be determined based on the available evidence.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
