## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FIRST FLIGHT AFTER AIRCRAFT AND LANDING GEAR MAINTENANCE, RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND ROLLOUT. AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF RUNWAY ONTO GRASSY AREA ADJACENT TO RUNWAY.

BELLCRANK 5041001 FOUND WITH BROKEN ATTACHMENT TAB. THIS BELLCRANK HOLDS OVER CENTER BRACE IN PLACE AND LOCKED IN DOWN POSITION.

IMPROPER RIGGING OF LANDING GEAR WILL PERMIT GEAR TO COLLAPSE AND ALSO BE THE CAUSE OF BELLCRANK FAILURE. WEIGHT OF THE AIRCRAFT BEING APPLIED TO GEAR RIGGING IN AN UNLOCKED CONDITION APPLIED FORCES TO BELLCRANK IN AN INCORRECT DIRECTION AND PART WAS NOT DESIGNED NOR INTENDED TO FUNCTION IN THIS MANNER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
