## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON VFR APPROACH TO RUNWAY 23, AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE 600' AND 400' APPROACH LIGHTING SYSTEM BARS. AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO A BLADE ON THE RIGHT PROPELLER, THE RIGHT FLAP, AND TO THE LOWER SURFACE OF THE FUSELAGE, TO INCLUDE BOTH WING BULKHEADS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA13CA355](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA13CA355), Jul 31, 2013: Beech 58 (N58DL), New Bedford, MA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper decision to land in the displaced threshold, resulting in a collision with the approach lighting system.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
