## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRMAN DEPARTED THE TAMPA FLORIDA AREA WITH A PASSENGER AND FLEW TO SAVANNA, GEORGIA AND DROPPED OFF THE PASSENGER. WITHOUT REFUELING, THE PILOT DEPARTED FOR CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA. THE FLIGHT RESULTED IN A TOTAL DISTANCE OF 574NM AND 5 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES. UPON ARRIVAL AT CHARLOTTESVILLE, THE WEATHER HAD DEGRADED TO LOW IFR CONDITIONS. THE AIRMAN FLEW AN ILS APPROACH AND MISSED. AT THIS TIME, ATC OFFERED DIFFERENT LOCATIONS THAT WERE AT OR BARELY ABOVE APPROACH MINIMUMS. THE AIRMAN REQUESTED VECTORS TO STAFFORD AIRPORT AND WAS ENROUTE WHEN THE FUEL WAS EXHAUSTED AND THE ENGINE QUIT. THE LANDING WAS OFF AIRPORT AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED.
