## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 36 AT THE MT. HAWLEY AIRPORT. DURING THE LANDING ROLL-OUT THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET FROM THE DEPARTURE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT THEN CONTINUED DOWN A GRASS COVERED HILL APPROXIMATELY 330 FEET BEFORE COMING TO REST IN A FENCE AND WEEDS AT THE AIRPORT BOUNDARY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN13CA489](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN13CA489), Aug 13, 2013: Beech 58P (N3858P), Peoria, IL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot did not attain the proper touchdown point during landing, which resulted in a runway excursion and impact with a perimeter fence.

## Other reports on N3858P (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19860428049809I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19860428049809I), Apr 28, 1986: Beech 58P (N3858P), Midland, TX, Minor damage. Manually extended gear but left main had an unsafe light. Gear collapsed as left down lock failed.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
