## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

RECEIVED CALL FROM CHICAGO ROC OF AN AIRCRAFT CRASH NEAR THE PARIS, IL AIRPORT AT 12:24 LOCAL. 1 FATAL, PILOT IDENTIFIED AS RUSTY BOGUE, OWNER OF RSB AVIATION IN PARIS. IT APPEARS THAT THE LEFT ENGINE WAS HAVING KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH ACCELERATION AND WOULD HANG AT 70

%. THIS WOULD LAST FOR AS LITTLE AS A COUPLE OF SECONDS UP TO A COUPLE OF MINUTES. THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 9, CONTINUED ON THE GRASS INTO A BEAN FIELD WHERE MARKS ON THE FIELD INDICATE THAT THE RIGHT PROPELLER WAS CUTTING A SWATH IN THE BEANS BUT NO MARKS FROM THE LEFT ENGINE CAN BE SEEN. AT THIS POINT THE AIRCRAFT BECAME AIRBORNE, DRAGGING THE MAIN WHEELS THROUGH A CORN FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT THEN GAINS ALTITUDE AND STARTS CLIPPING TREES AND THE AIRCRAFT DESCENDS THROUGH THE TREES AND IMPACTS THE GROUND APPROXIMATELY 3/4 MILE FROM THE DEPARTURE END OF THE RUNWAY.
