## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER COMPLETING ONE NORMAL APPROACH AND LANDING THE CFI ON THE SECOND CLOSED RIGHT TRAFFIC PATTERN SIMULATED A LEFT ENGINE FAILURE BY BRINGING THE POWER BACK ON THE LEFT ENGINE BACK TO ILDE. CFI STATED NO GEAR UNSAFE WARNING HORN WAS NOTED AT THAT TIME. CFI STATED THROUGHOUT BASE AND FINAL, A DISCUSSION OCCURRED REGARDING PROPER ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND AIRSPEED CONTROL IN RELATION TO THE BLUE LINE.

IN THE FLARE, THE TOWER CALLED US TO ?GO AROUND, YOUR GEAR ISN?T DOWN?! CFI STATED IT WAS TOO LATE TO REACT.

MEL CANDIDATE STATED THEY WERE MIDFIELD ON A RIGHT DOWN WIND WHEN THE CFI DECIDED TO SIMULATE FAILING THE LEFT ENGINE AND WE WERE FOUCUSED ON SECURING IT AND MAINTAINING CONTROL THAT WE DIDN?T LOWER THE LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. END.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
