## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPROXIMATELY 0900 ON 09/01/13 STUDENT PILOT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS PRACTICING HIS 3RD TOUCH AND GO ON RUNWAY 7L. DURING TOUCH DOWN AND WHILE PERFORMING A SHORT FINAL, THE AIRCRAFT DEVIATED FROM THE CENTER RUNWAY LINE, TOWARD LEFT OF THE CENTER LINE. THE INSTRUCTOR, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IMMEDIATELY TOOK CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET THE AIRCRAFT BACK ONTO THE CENTER LINE WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY ADDING POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT AND LIFTING THE NOSE FOR TAKE-OFF. THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT REGAIN ENOUGH POWER AND AIRSPEED TO OBTAIN THE RATE OF CLIMB REQUIRED FOR SAFE FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT LOST ALTITUDE AND CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE GROUND BETWEEN RUNWAY 7N AND TAXI WAY A. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON ROCKS AND CAME TO A FINAL STOP. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
