## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS PERFORMING A PULL UP MANEUVER WHILE CONDUCTING AERIAL APPLICATION AND STUCK A ROW OF TREES LOCATED AT THE END OF A FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY CRASHED IN A FIELD APPROXIMATELY 138 FEET FROM THE TREELINE AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED DUE TO IMPACT AND FIRE. THE PILOT ESCAPED THE WRECKAGE WITH MINOR INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN13LA533](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN13LA533), Sep 6, 2013: Grumman G-164A (N7843), Atlantic, IA, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot’s delay in releasing product to reduce the airplane’s weight and improve its climb performance, which was reduced because of the high density altitude.

## Other reports on N7843 (2)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
