## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT ATTEMPTED TO TAKE OFF FROM A SHORT MOUNTAIN RIDGE AREA COVERED IN LIGHT SNOW AND DID NOT BECOME AIRBORNE AT THE END OF THE USABLE SURFACE CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP DAMAGING THE PROPELLER, LEADING EDGE OF THE WINGS AND STRUTS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC13CA104](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC13CA104), Sep 19, 2013: Piper PA 18-150 (N7190D), Delta Junction, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate takeoff planning and judgment that did not consider the reduced acceleration due to snow-covered terrain, which resulted in an aborted takeoff and collision with terrain.

## Other reports on N7190D (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19740613017009A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19740613017009A), Jun 13, 1974: Piper PA18150 (N7190D), Laramie, WY, Substantial damage. Predator control. Dmgd right wing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
