## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2013, AT APPROXIMATELY 1140 A.M. LOCAL TIME THE PRIVATE PILOT WAS APPROACHING TO LAND AT THE COFFEYVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KCFV). THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE WAS DISTRACTED DUE TO AN UNUSUALLY HIGH AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC AT THE NON-TOWERED (UNCONTROLLED) AIRPORT DUE TO A LOCAL FLY-IN TAKING PLACE AND SUBSEQUENTLY FAILED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR PRIOR TO LANDING ON RUNWAY 35. THE PILOT REPORTED HE DID NOT REMEMBER HEARING THE GEAR WARNING HORN SOUND PRIOR TO LANDING. AFTER LANDING THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY AND SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE UNDER SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE AND PROPELLER. THE PILOT, WHO WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
