## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPT 22, APPROX. 1400 LOCAL TIME AT SCOTTSDALE AIRPORT PILOT REPORTED THAT HE BEGAN TO MAKE INPUTS INTO THE FMS SYSTEM. WITHOUT THE PILOT BEING AWARE, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN MOVING AND MADE CONTACT WITH THE HANGAR WITH THE LEFT WINGTIP. PILOT IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN BOTH ENGINES AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT THROUGH THE MAIN CABIN DOOR. PILOT WALKED OVER TO THE LEFT WINGTIP AND VISUALLY NOTICED THAT THERE WAS CONTACT WITH THE HANGAR. MAINTENANCE FACILITY CONTRACT TO PERFORM THE REPAIR TO THE WING TIP DID NOT CLASSIFY THE DAMAGE AS MAJOR REPAIR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
