## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 29 AT APPROXIMATELY 09:23 LOCAL TIME HORIZON AIR N449QX EXPERIENCED SEVERE TURBULENCE DURING DESCENT TO RENO FOR LANDING. TWO PASSENGERS AND A FLIGHT ATTENDANT SUSTAINED INJURIES FROM THE EVENT. THE AIRCRAFT EXECUTED A SUCCESSFUL LANDING WHERE THE INJURED WERE TRANSPORTED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL FOR EXAMINATION. THE PASSENGERS WERE TREATED FOR MINOR BRUISES AND RELEASED, HOWEVER THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT SUSTAINED A FRACTURED NECK VERTEBRAE AND WAS HELD FOR FURTHER TREATMENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED BY LOCAL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL WHERE A MAINTENANCE ENTRY WAS PROVIDED FOR A FERRY FLIGHT TO HORIZON'S MAINTENANCE BASE IN SEATTLE FOR A MORE IN DEPTH INSPECTION AS REQUIRED. ON OCTOBER 30,2013 THE HORIZON AIR PRINCIPAL INSPECTOR WAS CONTACTED. HE INDICATED THAT HE HAD ALREADY SUBMITTED AN ACCIDENT REPORT FOR THE EVENT AT WHICH POINT I FORWARDED THE NTSB REPORT AND INFORMED HIM THAT THE ATO HAD SAVED THE AIR TRAFFIC TAPES FOR REVIEW IF NECESSARY. AT THAT POINT HE CONCURRED THAT THE CMO WOULD COMPLETE THE INVESTIGATION AND DETERMINE ANY ACTION NECESSARY.
