## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE ON FUNCTIONAL CHECK FLIGHT AFTER MAINTENANCE, PILOT ACCRUED 3 HOURS OF FLIGHT WHEN THE ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING DUE TO FUEL STARVATION. ENOUGH FUEL WAS FOUND IN THE AIRCRAFT FOR AT LEAST 3 MORE HOURS OF FLIGHT.

POST-INCIDENT INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE LEFT TANK WAS FULL OF FUEL AND RIGHT TANK WAS EMPTY. THERE IS NO FUEL SELECTOR BETWEEN TANKS -BOTH DRAIN TO " T" FITTING AND THEN TO ENGINE.

POST-INCIDENT DISASSEMBLY OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED A "MUD DAUBBER" NEST IN THE LEFT FUEL TANK MAIN LINE TO THE ENGINE, THEREBY BLOCKING FUEL FLOW.

THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN DISASSEMBLED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS PRIOR TO REPAIR AND FLIGHT.
