## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 10-9-2013 AIRCRAFT N6115 HAD A HARD LANDING AT LEX RUNWAY 4. THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR HAD ITS MAIN SHOCK TUBE/STRUT FAIL DURING LANDING. THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^PILOT OF THE EXPERIMENTAL MT-1 AIRCRAFT STATED HE COULD NOT MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. AIRCRAFT VEERED RIGHT AND CAME TO REST IN THE GRASS NEXT TO THE RUNWAY.

MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUSTAINED AND NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT.

DUE TO THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN OF 1 - 16 OCTOBER 2013, THIS INCIDENT WAS NOT INVESTIGATED UNTIL 10-23-2013.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
