## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED HE HAD FLOWN EARLIER IN THE DAY TO CHECK OUT AN OIL OVER-HEATING PROBLEM. TOOK OFF AND LANDED ON PAVED RUNWAY 4/22. PILOT WANTED TO MOVE AIRCRAFT TO HIS HOME TO WORK ON HEAT PROBLEM, SO DECIDED TO DO A PRACTICE TAKEOFF AND LANDING OR TWO ON THE PARALLEL DIRT STRIP AT THE AIRPORT.

ON LANDING HE STATED THAT THE "BOTTOM KINDA DROPPED OUT" AND HE LANDED THREE POINT. THIS RESULTED IN THE NOSE GEAR CROSSMEMBER CONTACTING THE NOSE TIRE, CAUSING THE NOSE TO DIG IN AND, AT ABOUT 30-40 MILES PER HOUR, EVENTUALLY FLIP THE AIRCRAFT OVER ON TO ITS TOP.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
