## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT TOOK OFF ON RUNWAY 34 AT RENTON AIRPORT (RNT) TO PRACTICE TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS. HE ESTABLISHED A 60 KNOT APPROACH SPEED. ONCE HE HAD THE RUNWAY MADE HE DID NOT REDUCE POWER TO IDLE BECAUSE HE WAS CONSIDERING A GO-AROUND. HE CONTINUED THE LANDING AND LANDED AT A HIGHER LANDING SPEED THAN NORMAL. AFTER LANDING HE APPLIED BRAKING AT WHICH TIME THE AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY VEERED TO THE LEFT. HE WAS STRUGGLING TO MAINTAIN STRAIGHT LINE BRAKING. CONSIDERING THE WATER AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND THE EXCESSIVE SPEED THE AIRCRAFT WAS GOING HE CHOSE TO TAXI THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS IN AN EFFORT TO SLOW DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT HIT A SIGN CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING TIP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
