## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHIP 603 WAS ON AN ACTIVE TAXIWAY HOLDING SHORT OF A SERVICE ROAD WITH THE PARKING BRAKE SET. A DELTA B757 WAS POSITIONED IN FRONT OF INCIDENT AIRCRAFT. WHEN THE B757 RECEIVED TAXI CLEARANCE, A TUG AND TRAIN OF BAGGAGE CARTS WERE DRIVING ON THE SERVICE ROAD. AS THE 757 INCREASED THRUST TO MOVE IT IS BELIEVED THE JET BLAST BROKE ONE OF THE CARTS LOOSE AND SENT THE CART INTO THE COWLING OF THE #1 ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
