## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 6, 2013, N206KL, A CESSNA 206, PILOTED BY MR. DAN WILSON WITH TWO PASSENGERS AND THEIR CARGO, DEPARTED MCCALL AIRPORT (MYL) AT APPROXIMATELY 0900 LOCAL TIME AND HEADED SOUTH. THERE WAS WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THE AREA. THEIR DESTINATION WAS LOWER LOON (C53). TWO OTHER AIRCRAFT FROM THE SAME COMPANY LEFT FOR THE SAME DESTINATION (LOWER LOON) APPROXIMATELY SEVERAL MINUTES LATER AND HEADED NORTH AND ARRIVED APPROXIMATELY FIFTY MINUTES LATER. N206KL AND ITS PASSENGER HAD FAILED TO ARRIVE AT LOWER LOON.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR14FA044](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR14FA044), Nov 6, 2013: Cessna U206F (N206KL), Donnelly, ID, destroyed, 3 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain clearance from terrain while maneuvering in likely low-ceiling and low-visibility conditions in mountainous terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
