## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT DEPARTED HIS PRIVATE GRASS RUNWAY IN AUGUSTA, KS IN A CESSNA 172 (N35754) AT 2:40PM TO CONDUCT A PHOTO MISSION NEAR EUREKA, KS. AFTER COMPLETING THE MISSION, THE PILOT RETURN TO HIS PRIVATE RUNWAY AT 3:15PM. THE PILOT LANDED TOWARDS THE SOUTH IN A LIGHT WIND. UPON TOUCH DOWN, THE NOSE GEAR SANK INTO THE SOD RUNWAY AND BROKE COMPLETLY OFF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED APPROXIMATELY 90 FEET BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. THE PILOT WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON-BOARD AND RECEIVED NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
