## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 07, 2013 AT APPROXIMATELY 1325 MOUNTAIN STANDARD TIME, DURING LANDING AT CAREFREE SKY-RANCH AIRPORT N60TM SKIDDED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY 24.

THE PILOT STATED THAT DURING LANDING THE LEFT BRAKE FAILED AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE PILOT TRIED TO PUMP THE BRAKES AS HE ROLLED DOWN THE RUNWAY. WHEN HE FELT HE WAS NOT GOING TO STOP HE PRESSED BOTH BRAKES VERY HARD AND HAD FULL LEFT RUDDER, TRYING THE CONTROL THE AIRCRAFT AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE RIGHT. AS THE AIRCRAFT HIT A DIRT BERM OFF THE RUNWAY THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED MOVING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR14LA050](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR14LA050), Nov 7, 2013: Piper PA 46 350P (N60TM), Carefree, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the left brake master cylinder seal, which rendered the left brake inoperative during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
