## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 11, 2013, AT APPROXIMATELY 1125 EST, AN INTERPLANE SKYBOY OPERATING EXPERIMENTAL LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT, N215Z, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, LOST POWER WHILE IN LEVEL CRUISE DURING A PERSONAL FLIGHT WHICH ORIGINATED AT VENICE, FL (VNC), WAS BOUND FOR CHARLOTTE COUNTY AIRPORT, FL (PGD), AND LANDED IN THE WATERS OF CHARLOTTE HARBOR. VISUAL METEROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND NO FLIGHT PLAN HAD BEEN FILED. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE STUDENT PILOT RATED SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNINJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
