## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING NEW HIRE TRAINING THE APPLICANT EXCEEDED THE AIRCRAFT TORQUE LIMITATION WHILE PERFORMING A DECELERATION MANEUVER. TORQUE WAS 119 FOR ZERO SECONDS AS RECORDED BY ONBOARD SENSOR EQUIPMENT. INSTRUCTOR LANDED THE HELICOPTER ON RUNWAY 08 AT SUS. THE TORQUE EXCEEDANCE RESTRICTED THE HELICOPTER FROM BEING FLOWN UNTIL A REQUIRED INSPECTION COULD BE PERFORMED. THE RUNWAY WAS SHUT DOWN BY ATC UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT COULD BE REMOVED. MAINTENANCE INSPECTION AND ONSITE FAA INSPECTION SHOWED NO DAMAGE TO THE HELICOPTER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
