## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE PREPARING FOR A VFR FLIGHT IN THE LOCAL AREA THE PILOT STATED SHE SET THE PARKING BRAKE AND STARTED THE HOT ENGINE. THE PILOT SAID SHE MUST HAVE GAVE IT MORE THROTTLE THEN NORMAL BECAUSE WHEN THE ENGINE STARTED THE AIRCRAFT SHOT FORWARD AND HIT THE MAIN BUILDING WITH THE RIGHT WING SPINNING THE AIRCRAFT AROUND SO THE PROPELLER HIT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING AND BOUNCED BACK. THIS WAS A VIOLENT HIT ON THE BUILDING DUE TO THE SPEED OF THE AIRCRAFT INVOLVED. AT THIS TIME ONLY THE PILOT SAID THAT HER BACK HURTS AND WILL GO TO THE DOCTOR JUST IN CASE. OTHER THAN THAT NOBODY ELSE WAS REPORTEDLY HURT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN14CA070](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN14CA070), Nov 24, 2013: Cessna 172 (N113SF), New Orleans, LA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain aircraft control after starting the engine, which resulted in a collision with a building.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
