## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT DEPARTED TALLULAH LA FOR OAK GROVE LA. AT 1000 FEET WITH LEFT FUEL TANK SELECTED, ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH. PILOT IMMEDIATELY SWITCHED TO RIGHT TANK, BUT ENGINE STILL RAN ROUGH, SO HE ENGAGED FUEL BOOST PUMP. ENGINE NEVER REGAINED POWER SO PILOT PERFORMED EMERGENCY LANDING IN A CROP FIELD. INVESTIGATION REVEALED NO FUEL IN LEFT TANK, AND APPROXIMATELY 8 GALLONS IN RIGHT TANK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN14LA076](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN14LA076), Nov 27, 2013: Cessna T210L (N21ME), Lake Providence, LA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's mismanagement of available fuel and incorrect use of the fuel boost pump which resulted in a total loss of engine power at a low altitude.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
