## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 29, 2013, AT APPROXIMATELY 1206 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME, THE BOLT SECURING THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL TO THE LANDING GEAR ASSEMBLY ON THE FLOAT OF AN AMATEUR BUILT GLASTAR, N4323C, SHEARED OFF ON LANDING ROLL OUT ON RUNWAY 17 AT GRAND PRAIRIE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KGPM). THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL ASSEMBLY SUBSEQUENTLY FOLDED BACK AGAINST THE FLOAT. THE PILOT WAS CONDUCTING TEST FLIGHTS, AFTER INSTALLING THE FLOATS, AS REQUIRED BY THE APPROVED OPERATING LIMITATIONS AFTER A MAJOR CHANGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR/FLOATS. THE FLIGHT WAS CONDUCTED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF 14 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
