## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED ORLANDO EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (ORL). AT 2000 FT INDICATED A BIRD STRUCK THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT MADE DECISION TO RETURN TO (ORL). WHEN GEAR SELECTED DOWN AN UNSAFE INDICATION FOR NOSE GEAR WA INDICATED. AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO PUMP THE GEAR DOWN TO NO AVAIL. A FLYBY CONFIRMED NOSE GEAR DOWN BUT STILL NO NOSE GEAR DOWN INDICATION. ON APPROACH AT FULL FLAPS THE AURAL WARNINGS SOUNDED AT THROTTLE REDUCTION. PILOT MADE A SECOND FLY BY AND AGAIN GEAR WAS VISIBLE IN DOWN POSITION. ON LANDING THE PILOT STATED HE MADE A "STIFF LANDING ON MAIN GEAR." AT THIS POINT A GREEN WAS INDICATED ON ALL GEAR AND A NORMAL ROLL OUT WAS MADE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
