## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

RECEIVED REQUEST FROM MANAGEMENT TO GO TO AIRPORT BECAUSE AIRPLANE LANDED SHORT OF RUNWAY 35. AIRCRAFT

DEPARTED LAS VEGAS A FEW HOURS BEFORE, VFR FLIGHT PLAN (NOT FILED) WEATHER CHECKED BY COMPUTER. WAS CLEARED FOR FINAL AND TURNED SHORT FINAL AND ENGINE STOPPED. FUEL SELECTOR WAS ON LEFT TANK, HE SWITCHED TO THE RIGHT TANK AND ENGINE WOULD NOT RE-START. BOTH FUEL LOW INDICATOR LIGHTS WERE ON BUT HE FELT HE HAD 17 GALLONS OF FUEL BASED ON THE FUEL FLOW SYSTEM INSTALLED (JPI). GAUGES WERE BOUNCING NEAR EMPTY AND HE FEELS THEY ARE UNRELIABLE. THE A/C STARTED TO STALL, HE PUSHED THE NOSE OVER TO GET FORWARD AIRSPEED AND THEN TURNED TO AVOID THE LANDING LIGHTS AND FLARED TO LAND IN THE SNOW. WHEN ASKED ABOUT FUEL HE STATED THAT TO TOOK 10 GALLONS IN NORTH LAS VEGAS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE WHICH GAVE HIM A TOTAL OF 44 GALLONS WHEN HE LEFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
