## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SWAA FLIGHT 2516 (N8327A) WAS CLEARED FOR A VISUAL APPROACH AND LANDING TO KLAS RUNWAY 25L IN LAS VEGAS, NV.

UPON TOUCHDOWN PILOT REPORTED A FIRM/BOUNCED LANDING.

WHILE CONDUCTING A POST FLIGHT INSPECTION AT THE GATE, THE CREW DISCOVERED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FUSELAGE, NEAR THE TAILSKID OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DCA14CA034](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DCA14CA034), Jan 4, 2014: Boeing 737 (N8327A), Las Vegas, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: the captain's over rotation during the bounced landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
