## Narrative

PILOT STATED THAT AROUND 4000 FT HE LOST ENGINE POWER.  HE UNBUCKLED AND ATTEMPTED TO GET THE ENGINE RESTARTED WHILE IN THE AIR WITH AN AIRSPEED OF AROUND 50 MPH.  ONCE HE WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE, HE FOUND A FIELD IN THE AREA OF 87TH STREET AND HOLIDAY (ODESSA, TEXAS) TO LAND.  HE LANDED ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND THEN SPUN COMING TO REST.  PILOT WAS UNHURT AND NO DAMAGE WAS INDICATED TO LOCAL RESIDENTIAL AREA.  AIRCRAFT HAD MINOR DAMAGE.  PILOT STATED HE MAY HAVE RUN OUT OF FUEL.  HE CHECKED THE FUEL BEFORE DEPARTURE AND TANK HAD OVER HALF AND WHEN HE LANDED, TANK WAS DRY.
