## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

01/11/2014: A COLLISION TOOK PLACE AT THE FUEL FARM AT THE BORREGO VALLEY AIRPORT (L08) INVOLVING A PIPER PA-18 SUPER CUB AND A MOONEY M-20C.

WHILE REPOSITIONING FROM HIS HANGAR TO THE FUEL FARM THE PIC OF THE SUPER CUB STATED THAT HE COULD SEE TWO OTHER AIRCRAFT PARKED AT THE FUEL FARM. WHILE HE WAS POSITIONING HIS AIRCRAFT FOR FUEL HIS ATTENTION WAS FOCUSED ON THE THIRD AIRCRAFT. HE SWUNG HIS AIRCRAFT AROUND AND IN DOING SO STRUCK THE MOONEY'S VERTICAL STABILIZER WITH HIS WING AND HIT THE LEFT WING OF THE MOONEY WITH HIS PROP. NO VISUAL DAMAGE THE THE SUPER CUB WAS NOTED BUT DAMAGE TO THE MOONEY WAS SUBSTANTIAL. BOTH AIRCRAFT ARE HANGERED AT BORREGO VALLEY. (PICTURES OF THE MOONEY ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS REPORT)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
