## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING LOW ALTITUDE/LOW AIRSPEED CRUISE ALONG A RIVER BED IN A RURAL AREA 7 NM NW KJEF, PIC STATED A GUST OF WIND (EST 20 KTS) CAUSED A MOMENTARY LOSS OF TAIL ROTOR EFFECTIVENESS (LTE). ACFT TAIL ROTOR CONTACTED SMALL TREE BRANCHES BEFORE CONTROL WAS RESTORED. ACFT RETURNED TO BASE, AND POST-FLT INSPECTION REVEALED SLIGHT SKIN WRINKLES AFT OF LEADING EDGES. T/R REPLACED PER FACTORY DIRECTIVES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
