## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS PRACTICING FULL STOP LANDINGS FROM THE FRONT SEAT OF THIS TANDAM SEAT AIRCRAFT, WITH AN EXPERIENCED PILOT IN THE REAR SEAT. THE PLANE HAD A TENDENCY TO DART LEFT OR RIGHT INSTEAD OF TRACK STRAIGHT AHEAD DURING ROLL OUT. IN RETROSPECT THE PILOT FEELS HE WAS SITTING TOO FAR FORWARD AND WAS USING TOO MUCH BRAKE TO CONTROL THE EXCURSIONS RATHER THAN JUST RUDDER. ON THE LANDING OF THE INCIDENT THE TAIL CAME UP, DUE TO OVERBRAKING JUST AS THE PLANE WAS ALMOST STOPPED, WHICH CAUSED THE PROP TO STRIKE THE GROUND AND DAMAGE THE NOSE CONE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
