## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT ON 1/30/2014, HE WAS LANDING N685TT AT REID-HILLVIEW AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON DOWNWIND TO RUNWAY 31R, THE PILOT COMPLETED THE LANDING CHECKS AND VERIFIED ALL OF THE SYSTEMS WERE IN THE GREEN. THE ANNUNCIATOR PANEL AND MASTER WARNING AND CAUTION LIGHT WERE ALL DARK. THE APPROACH AND LANDING WERE NORMAL. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND REALIZED THERE WAS NO BRAKING ACTION WHATSOEVER. THE PILOT ASKED THE RIGHT SEAT PASSENGER (A LICENSED PILOT) TO APPLY THE BRAKES, TO NO EFFECT. THE PILOT ADVISED THE TOWER HE HAD NO BRAKES AND WOULD BE ROLLING LONG. HE ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE AIRCRAFT BUT THE NOSE STEERING WAS INOPERATIVE. HE APPLIED FULL LEFT RUDDER TO KEEP THE AIRCRAFT ON AIRPORT PROPERTY. THE AIRCRAFT WENT PARTWAY THRU THE PERIMETER FENCE AND CAME TO A STOP. AFTER EXITING THE AIRCRAFT THE PILOT DISCOVERED HYDRAULIC FLUID POURING OUT OF THE LEFT ENGINE NACELLE. NO FLUID WAS VISIBLE ON THE LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER WHICH INDICATES THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FAILED AT OR NEAR TOUCHDOWN. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE INSPECTED THE ENGINE AREA AND COULD NOT DETERMINE THE ORIGIN OF THE HYDRAULIC FULID LEAK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
