## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT ON APPROACH TO LANDING AFTER A 45 MINUTE FLIGHT STALLED ON APPROACH AND IMPACTED GROUND ABOUT 150 FEET SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. PILOT REPORTED THAT HE HAD FORGOTTEN TO PUT FLAPS DOWN AND IN HIS WORDS HE "JUST STOPPED FLYING THE AIRCRAFT." HE SAID THAT HE REALIZED THAT HE WAS LOW AND SLOW WHEN THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO STALL AND THAT HE NOSED IT OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR14CA110](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR14CA110), Feb 1, 2014: Beech V35A (N31TC), Globe, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate glide path and failure to maintain adequate airspeed during final approach, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
