## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED FROM PAGE FIELD, FT MYERS, FLORIDA ON 2/10/2014, ENROUTE TO MARION, IOWA. AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED AND A WEATHER BRIEFING WAS RECEIVED FROM THE LOCAL FLIGHT SERVICES STATION.

AS STATED BY THE PILOT, AFTER LANDING ON RUNWAY 35 AT THE MARION AIRPORT, JUST AS THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN A VIOLENT PULL TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO MAKE CORRECTIONS BUT LOST CONTROL AND THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY HITTING A SNOW BANK. AS A RESULT OF IMPACT WITH THE SNOW BANK THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ALONG THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY 35.

RUNWAY CONDITION AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT WAS PATCHY PACKED SNOW, AND NOT A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
