## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL ON TAKE OFF ROLL RESULTING IN TWO (2) UNCOMMANDED DEPARTURES FROM THE HARD SURFACE INTO THE GRASS INFIELD BORDERS TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS NO APPARENT CORRECTION FOR TORQUE OTHER THAN AN ATTEMPT AT DIFFRENTIAL BRAKING, RESULTING IN BOTH MAINMOUNT TIRES BEING BLOWN AND SEPARATING FROM THE WHEEL ASSEMBLIES.

AFT ELEVATOR INPUT, RAPID APPLICATION OF POWER WITH LITTLE OR NO RUDDER AUTHORITY APPEARS TO BE CAUSAL. MAINMOUNT IMPACT ON THE CONCRETE RUNWAY BORDER(S) RESULTED IN WING SPAR AND WING ATTACH FITTING DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA14LA149](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA14LA149), Feb 23, 2014: Piper PA-46-500TP (N3061J), Alabaster, AL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s delay in aborting the takeoff following the loss of directional control early in the takeoff roll due to a deflated left main landing gear tire.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
