## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 2/23/14, THE PILOT DEPARTED KLHZ AND WAS MANEUVERING OVER A FARM APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES EAST OF CENTERVILLE, NC. THE STUDENT PILOT REALIZED HE WAS FLYING BELOW A SAFE ALTITUDE AND STARTED TO CLIMB. DURING THE CLIMB, THE AIRCRAFT HIT A POWER LINE. THE STUDENT PILOT CONTINUED TO CLIMB AND WAS ABLE TO RETURN THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO KLHZ. THE DAMAGE WAS MINOR AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE STUDENT PILOT WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON BOARD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
