## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THE WIND WAS DEAD CALM AND HE WAS STRUCK BY THE 5 BLACKHAWKS ROTOR WASH, AND THE HELICOPTERS WERE ON THE GROUND.

THERE WERE 4 BLACKHAWKS WERE ON THE GROUND DOING THEIR HIT (HEATH INDICATION TEST). THEY WERE ONLY PRODUCING 1/2 THE POWER NEEDED TO HOVER.

THE EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT WAS OVER 400 FEET FROM THE BLACKHAWKS. TOO FAR TO BE AFFECTED BY THE ROTOR WASH BEING CREATED.

THE PILOT MISMANAGED THE CONTROLS RESULTING IN A GROUND LOOP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR14LA133](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR14LA133), Mar 8, 2014: Peter W Stevens Bearhawk Patrol (N123WW), Salt Lake City, UT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
