## Narrative

ON MARCH 10, 2014 AT 1351 LOCAL, EMBRY-RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENT PILOT DEPARTED DAYTONA BEACH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DAYTONA BEACH FLORIDA, ON A SOLO CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT TO GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA IN CESSNA 172, N471ER. AT 1545 LOCAL, N471ER SUSTAINED A PROP STRIKE AND SUBSEQUENT MINOR DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF A HARD LANDING ON RUNWAY 25 AT GAINESVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT. THE STUDENT PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
