## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 23 WITH NO INCIDENT, TAXIED TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY, TURNED AROUND AND TOOK OFF ON RUNWAY 5. AFTER A WIDE PATTERN THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 5. THE PILOT THOUGHT THE BRAKES HAD LOCKED ON TOUCHDOWN AND ADDED POWER TO GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR STRUCK A CONCRETE PLATFORM FOLLOWED BY THE RIGHT MAIN STRIKING A SECOND CONCRETE PLATFORM. THE PILOT REDUCED POWER AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE MUD BETWEEN THE RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN14CA162](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN14CA162), Mar 13, 2014: Beech 35 C33A (N242JB), West Union, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: A loss of aircraft control during landing, due to the pilot's excessive braking. Contributing to the accident was the pilot's lack of recent flight experience.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
