## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN LANDED ON A DRY RUNWAY WITH CALM WINDS. AFTER THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN DRIFTING TO THE LEFT. HE CORRECTED BACK TO THE RIGHT WITH RUDDER, THEN LEFT RUDDER. LEFT MAIN WHEEL WENT OFF THE RUNWAY 6 TO 8 INCHES AS AIRCRAFT SWERVED HARD BACK TO THE RIGHT. THIS CAUSED LEFT MAIN TO BREAK OFF CAUSING SUBSTANIAL DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
