## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 21, 2014 AT APPROXIMATELY 1700 EDT A AEROPRAKT AMERICA INC. A-22 LS REGISTERED TO AEROPRAKT AMERICA INC. PRACTICING WATER TAKEOFF AND LANDINGS AT LAKE BERESFORD IN DELAND, FL, PILOT INADVERTENTLY LEFT THE GEAR DOWN WHILE PERFORMING A WATER LANDING CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO COME TO REST IN AN INVERTED POSITION, VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND A VFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE DURING THIS INCIDENT BUT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE DURING AIRCRAFT RECOVERY FROM THE LAKE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
