## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 30, 2014, ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 30R AT KMSP, COCKPIT BEGAN TO FILL WITH BLUE-BLACK SMOKE. PILOT DELCARED AN EMEREGENCY AND ANNOUNCED "SMOKE IN COCKPIT". AFTER LANDING, AIRCRAFT EXITED RUNWAY 30R AT TAXIWAY G, SHUTDOWN BOTH ENGINES AND EXITED. FIRE CREWS REPORTED SMOKE, FLAMES IN ENGINE #1 AND SHOT WATER FROM THE FRONT. AFTER IT WAS DETERMINED THERE WAS NO FURTHER FIRE DANGER, PILOT STARTED THE OTHER ENGINE AND SINGLE ENGINE TAXIED TO THE CARGO RAMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
