## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN SAID THERE WAS A QUARTERING HEADWIND THAT SWITCHED TO A QUARTERING TAILWIND DURING HER LANDING. SHE SAID SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE A GO-AROUND. THE RIGHT WINGTIP AND RIGHT LANDING GEAR WERE DAMAGED, AS WELL AS THE RIGHT AILERON, WHICH MAKES IT SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. NO INJURY. THE AIRMAN WAS A STUDENT SOLO, PRACTICING LANDINGS AFTER FAILING A PRIVATE PILOT CHECKRIDE THREE DAYS PRIOR. SHE SAID SHE GOT A FORECAST COMPUTER BRIEFING AN HOUR BEFORE THE FLIGHT AND CHECKED THE AWOS RIGHT BEFORE THE FLIGHT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
