## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE TAXIING INTO THE PAD AREA OF RWY 28R THE PILOT OF AIRCRAFT N873RW, OPERATED BY REPUBLIC AIRLINES, MISJUDGED THE DISTANCE BETWEEN HIS LEFT WINGLET AND THE RIGHT ELEVATOR OF AIRCRAFT N412YX, OPERATED BY SHUTTLE AMERICA, AT CHICAGO INT'L AIRPORT. AIRCRAFT N873RW'S LEFT WINGLET STRUCK THE RIGHT ELEVATOR OF AIRCRAFT N412YX WHILE STATIONARY ON ACTIVE TAXIWAY 'D' WITH PARKING BRAKE SET. BOTH AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE TOXICOLOGY TAKEN FROM THE REPUBLIC AIRLINE'S CREW WAS NEGATIVE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
