## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 18, 2014, AT 1234 PM EDT, A 50 YEAR OLD MALE SKY DIVER MR. DONALD W. HAUCK RECEIVED FATAL INJURIES FROM IMPACT WITH THE GROUND AFTER PERFORMING A LOW ALTITUDE "HOOK TURN." MR. HAUCK HAD MADE MORE THAN 80 PARACHUTE JUMPS AND HAD MORE THAN TWO YEARS IN THE SPORT. HE HELD A USPA "A" LICENSE. THE FLIGHT WAS CONDUCTED UNDER 14 CFR PART 91, BY A COMMERCIAL RATED PILOT. THE PARACHUTE JUMP WAS CONDUCTED UNDER 14 CFR PART 105. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED. EXAMINATION OF THE MAIN PARACHUTE FOUND NO ABNORMALITIES. THE RESERVE PARACHUTE HAD BEEN REPACKED BY A MASTER PARACHUTE RIGGER. THE INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT RECORDS AND THE AIRCRAFT INVOLVED IN THE JUMP REVEALED NO DISCREPANCIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
