## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER TESTING RUNWAY CONDITIONS WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE, THE PILOT DETERMINED THAT THE SOFT DIRT RUNWAY WAS SUITABLE FOR A TAKEOFF RUN AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS LIGHTER THAN THE MOTOR VEHICLE. THE DIRT RUNWAY WAS WET FROM A SUBSTANTIAL RAIN STORM THE DAY BEFORE. TAKEOFF ATTEMPT WAS INITIATED FROM THE SOUTHERN END OF THE RUN WAY HEADING 360. THE AIRCRAFT ACCELERATED TO 40 MPH INDICATED WITH NO FURTHER ACCELERATION. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LIGHT ON THE WHEELS AND ENCOUNTERED SOFTER DIRT CAUSING RIGHT TO LEFT DIRECTIONAL DEVIATIONS WITH THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL TOUCHING ON AND OFF THE RUNWAY JUST SHORT OF ENOUGH AIRSPEED FOR TAKEOFF. LACKING THE AIRSPEED NEEDED FOR LIFTOFF, THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND THE MAIN GEAR CONTACTED THE TOP OF A PERIMETER FENCE AND NOSED OVER ON ITS' BACK. RUNWAY WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 3000 PLUS FEET IN LENGTH.
