## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 10, 2014, AT 1950 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME, AN ALLIANT AVIATION LLC, MODEL XLT503, N3269X, POWERED PARACHUTE AIRCRAFT LOST ENGINE POWER WHILE CRUISING AT APPROXIMATELY 150FT IN ALTITUDE OVER PERE MARQUETTE LAKE IN LUDINGTON, MICHIGAN. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT, RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE, IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION WHILE THE PARACHUTE WRAPPED AND TANGLED IN A PINE TREE. THE SPORT PILOT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES, WHILE THE LONE PASSENGER WAS UNINJURED. THE VFR FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM THE KLDM AIRPORT, TWO MILES AWAY, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SIGHTSEEING. INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED A FUEL PUMP SYSTEM FAILURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
