## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INSTRUCTOR WAS GIVING INITAL TRAINING TO A PRIVATE PILOT FOR A TAILWHEEL ENDORSEMENT. THIS WAS THE STUDENTS FIRST FLIGHT IN A TAILWHEEL AIRCRAFT.THEY HAD CONDUCTED NUMEROUS FULL STOP LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 15 AT THE LAWRENCE, KS AIRPORT (LWC). THE WINDS WERE LIGHT AND VARIABLE, FAVORING RUNWAY 15. AFTER THIS LANDING AND DURING ROLLOUT, THE AIRCRAFT WAS NEARLY STOPPED WHEN IT TIPPED UP ON ITS NOSE, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROP AND COWLING. NEITHER THE INSTRUCTOR NOR STUDENT WAS INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
